Cary Hughes

Dr. Hughes graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002 and practiced in Virginia before coming to Anderson.  As owner of The Animal Hospital he focuses on managing the practice as well as good medicine. He is married with three young daughters and has two older dogs.

Julie Mefford

Dr. Mefford is originally from Ohio but completed her undergraduate degree at Clemson and fell in love with this area. After graduating from The Ohio State University Veterinary School she returned with her husband to South Carolina. Dr. Mefford joined this practice in 2008 and has a focus in internal medicine. She enjoys running, half marathons, hiking, backpacking, kayaking and gardening. She and her husband share their home with a lab mix named Luna and a Chihuahua named Tiny.

Donna Rieser
Head Receptionist
Donna is our head receptionist and has been with the practice since 2003. She tries to make sure every client’s experience is the best possible! She is married with four children, and she has two dogs and two cats. She is a proud grandmother of  3 wonderful grandchildren.


Reception

Laine Pena

Laine is married and shares her home with her husband of  2 years  Alex and a dog named Butch Walker and two cats. She loves working with dogs and cats. Hobbies include hiking, knitting and quilting.


Kristin Tillman
LVT Surgical Technician
Kristin is a licensed Veterinary Technician who graduated from Tri-County Technical College with an Associates degree in Health Science. Kristin loves working with clients and patients and veterinary medicine is a real passion for her. She lives with her husband, three children, one dog and two cats.


Kiera Johnston
LVT Medical Technician
Kiera is a licensed Verterinary Technician who graduated  from Tri County Technical College. She lives with her dog Boomer.

 

Lydia Molack

Lydia is a Veterinary Technician who graduated from Tri County Technical College in May 2016  . She has been taking care of many animals in her two years at Tri County .  She has one cat named Nisa.  Lydia loves to read in her spare time.
